Looking for something to do in Gilbert Today - well let's see?

if you are trying to escape the heat that is beating down on us today in the Southeast Valley of Phoenix, here are a few idea's we love to enjoy!

Dining recommendations:

The Deli in Queen Creek. Yes this is one of the hidden treasures. It has a wide menu with something for everyone. Our personal favorites are the Cuban sandwich with layers of roasted pork and melted provolone cheese on the most fantastic chibatta role and don't forget the side of potato salad.

Then there is the Pizza with Sausage, Red Onion, Roasted Peppers, Ricotta & Parmesan with Marinara  Sauce. The flavors on this beautiful combination just pop in your mouth. It makes you just want to linger for a while and enjoy the moment.

Also the Caprese Salad: House Made Mozzarella, Tomatoes & Basil Pesto. The pesto is so green and full of flavor it almost looks electric.

This is just a great place to relax, take the kids, take your favorite person and enjoy the atmosphere of made from scratch. It is Family owned and operated and the love shows in the food and in the customers smiles. Say hi to Owner's Blake, Nicole & Parents Barry Sr, Brenda & Brother Barry Jr. they will be sure to stop by your table and give you a warm welcome.

Joe's Farm Grill as seen on Food Networks Diner's Drive In's & Dives. This is another quirky favorite in Gilbert. There is not much here that you can't fall in love with. My all time personal favorite is the Farm Burger w/ grilled onions and please let me have those mushrooms. Made w/ fresh local grown beef and gorgeous multi grain bun.

You can't pass up the garlic fries bursting with flavor and texture. Yes you might not want these if you are on a date.

The lines that are always present will immediately validate the scrumptiousness of the food. The unique architecture of the building and park like setting just takes you away from any cares you might have. Just sit back enjoy some conversation with your friends and wait for your taste buds to be delighted.

For a quick cool tasty treat stop by Frost Gelato at the San Tan Mall in Gilbert. If the heat has truly gotten to you this will cool you down and bring a smile back to your face in a hurry. Try a combo gelato of coconut and mango this will make you feel that Gilbert has slipped away and the tropical island breeze is cooling your face. They have coffee drinks and chocolates and a little something for everyone.

While your here at the San Tan Mall you can take the kids to the splash pond, hit the movies, shop till you drop or enjoy one of their many dining choices.
